    • Andrew Coleman BOATRIGHT, a son of Essie Lena Coleman and Matthew Lewis Boatright, was born on 16 March 1909 in Emanuel County, Georgia. He was named as a son, aged 12 months, in his parents' household in the 1910 Emanuel County census, as aged 10 years in the 1920 census, and as age 21 in the 1930 Emanuel County census.

      He married Marjorie Coleman in Emanuel County on 26 September 1936 by S. J. Flanders, Ordinary. She was born 9 August 1918 in Emanuel County, a daughter of Mary Jane Curl and Jordan Coleman.

      When the 1940 Emanuel County census was taken, they lived on a farm in the Nunez community and beside Coleman?s parents. They paid $4 a month for rental of their house. Information provided by the census included: Coleman Boatright, answered census questions, head, age 31, married, completed seven grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, was at work the week of 24 March, worked 60 hours the week of 24 March, farm laborer, unpaid family worker, worked 52 weeks in 1939, earned no wages in 1939, had no income in 1939; Marjorie Boatright, wife, age 21, wife, married, completed six grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, engaged in housework, had no income in 1939; and, Catherine Louise Boatright, daughter, age 2, born in Georgia.

      Andrew died on 21 August 1951 in Emanuel County as the result of an accident from felling a tree. He was buried at Hawhammock Church Cemetery, Emanuel County. Marjorie became a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church in March of that same year.

      In 1973 Marjorie was listed in the Swainsboro city directory as residing at 104 Lewis Street and employed as a cook at Emanuel County Hospital.

      She was living in Swainsboro at the Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments in 2010. She became a resident there in 1984 when the apartments first opened.
