    Notes 
    • Harriet WALLACE (Martha3, Reubin2, Daniel1), the second daughter of Martha Boatright and James S. Wallace, was born on 22 August 1859 in Georgia. At age 10 months, she was enumerated in her parents' household in the 1860 Screven County, Georgia census. After her parents' deaths about 1866, Reubin Boatright was made guardian of Harriet and her sisters. She lived with her uncle, John Boatright - her mother's brother - and was listed with his household in the 1870 Emanuel County census; her age was given as 11 years.

      She married Allen Lanier III about 1877. He was born on 27 June 1854 in Georgia, a son of Mariah Jones and Allen Lanier Jr.

      They had ten children:

They were recorded as follows: Allen Lanier, age 58, widowed, farmer, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Allen Lanier Junr., age 26, son, married, works on farm, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Harriet, age 20, son's wife, keeps house, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Calib, age 3, grandson, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; and James E. age 1, grandson, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia.

      The family was recorded in the 1900 Emanuel County census as follows: Allen T.?       In 1910, the Emanuel County census included: Allen Lanier, age 55, married once, married 33 years, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farmer, could read and write, owns farm free of mortgage; Hattie, wife, age 49, married once, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, cannot read nor write; Adam, son, age 22, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farmer, could read and write; Thomas, son, age 21, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farm laborer, home farm, could read and write; Preston, son, age 18, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farm laborer, home farm, could read and write; and Robert, son, age 14, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farm laborer, home farm, could read and write, attended school. Living next door was son James E. Lanier and his family.

      Harriet died on 4 March 1917 and was buried in Rosemary Cemetery, Candler County, Georgia.

      In the 1920 census, Allen still was in Candler County and he was living with his son Thomas C. Lanier. He was recorded in Thomas? household as follows: Allen Lanier, father, age 66, widowed, could read and write, born in Georgia, and parents born in Georgia.

      Allen died on 13 January 1928 in Candler County and also was buried in Rosemary Cemetery.
