    • Mary Ethel C. FAIRCLOTH, a daughter of Mary Etta Ridgdill and James Louis Faircloth, was born 24 August 1901 in Emanuel County, Georgia. She was named as a daughter, aged 1 year, in her parents? household in the 1910 Montgomery County, Georgia census. She also was named as a surviving daughter in her mother?s 1923 obituary. In addition, she was named as a surviving sister in the 1966 obituary of Eva Belle Faircloth Thomas, in the 1977 obituary of Carl Eugene Faircloth, in the 1984 obituary of Champ Clark Faircloth, and in the 1993 obituaries of Iris Faircloth Blitch.7

      She married first John Edward Wooten on 25 December 1918. He was born in Georgia, possibly Coffee County, on 23 May 1898.

      John registered for the World War I draft on 12 September 1918 in Douglas, Coffee County. His registration card provided the following information: John Edward Wooten; address Baxter, Coffee Co., Georgia; age, 20; birth date 23 May 1898; white; native born; occupation, clerk; employer, Fred Shey Co. Inc.; US Pure Acid Plant, Brunswick, Glynn County, Georgia; nearest relative, Willis H. Wooten, Baxter, Coffee Co., Georgia; signed John Edward Wooten; height, tall; build, slender; grey eyes; brown hair; no disabilities.

      The family was residing in Homerville, where they were recorded in the 1930 Clinch County census as follows: John E. Wooten, head, owned home valued at $2000, age 31, age 21 when first married, could read and write, born in Georgia, father born in Georgia, mother born in North Carolina, operator of a filling station, self-employed, was not working at time of the census, was not a veteran; Ethel, wife, housekeeper, age 28, age 17 when first married, could read and write, born in Georgia, father born in Georgia, mother born in South Carolina; John E. Jr., son, age 7, attended school, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; and, Mary Ann, daughter, age 3 years and 4? months, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia.

      They had two children:

      i. John Edward WOOTEN Jr.
      ii. Marianne WOOTEN

      John and Mary were divorced in Palm Beach County, Florida in 1953.

      He died in December 1967 in West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County.

      She married second Dr. John Capers Glenn on 10 April 1954 in Polk County, Florida. He was born 25 December 1894.

      Both Mary and John were active in church. Mary attended Mulberry Street United Methodist Church in Macon and taught Sunday School, as well as participated in visitation ministry.

      John Glenn died 19 April 1978 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia and was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

      Mary executed power of attorney to her daughter Marianne on 24 January 1990.

      On 20 August 1997, Marianne Dunn, as attorney-in-fact for Mary F. Glenn, made a warranty deed of property at 1194 Briarcliff Road, Macon, to herself.

      Mary died 4 February 2000, also in Macon.

      On 27 October 2006, Marianne W. Dunn, as Executor of the will of Mary, conveyed the Briarcliff Road property to herself according to Mary?s will.
