    • Harriet Addie DEAL, a daughter of Mary Jane Boatright and Absolum P. Deal, was born 9 August 1877 in Emanuel County, Georgia. She was named as a daughter, Harriet, aged 2 years in her parents? household in the 1880 Emanuel County census. In the 1900 census, she was listed as Harriet A., daughter, born August, aged 23 years. By the1910 census, she still was in her parents? household and listed as their daughter, Harriet A., aged 32 years. In the 1920 census, she was listed as Addie, aged 42 years. In addition, she was named as a surviving sister in Elizabeth Deal Whitfield?s 1935 obituary.

      Addie married Albert Sidney ?Dock? Johnson Oglesby on 8 June 1920 in Bulloch County, Georgia. He was born in 1869. Dock was a widower with children when he and Addie were married.

Oglesby, head, rented home, lived on a farm, age 64, married, married first at age 28, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farmer, general farm, employer, was working at time of census, was not a veteran; Harriett A., wife, keeps house, age 54, married first at age 18, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Miley, son, age 20, single, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, laborer, farm, worked on family farm, was working at time of census; Jescue?, son, age 18, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, laborer, farm, worked on family farm; Pearl, daughter, age 15, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; and, Lois, daughter, age 13, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia. The children in the census were by Albert?s first wife.

      Albert died 23 October 1937 in Bulloch County.

      Addie died 14 January 1951 in Candler County at the age of 74 years. Both were buried at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Bulloch County. There was no tombstone when the cemetery was read in 1980 and the graves were marked only by metal undertaker markers.
