    • Annie Belle JONES, a daughter of Drucilla Wallace and John L. Jones, was born in Emanuel County, Georgia on 20 February 1889. She was named as a daughter, aged 10 years, in her parents' household in the 1900 Emanuel County census, and as aged 19 years in the 1910 census. She also was named as a surviving daughter in her mother's 1942 obituary. In addition, she was named as a surviving sister in Hiram Walton Jones' 1952 obituary, in John Groover Jones' 1955 obituary, and in Mittie Jones Watson's 1957 obituary.

      She married Homer Johnson on 1 February 1914 in Emanuel County. He was born in Georgia on 14 March 1892 in Emanuel County, the son of Fern and Josephine Henry Johnson.

      Homer registered for the World War I draft in Candler County on 5 June 1917. His draft registration card provided the following information: Homer Johnson; age 25; home address: Graymont; born 14 March 1892; occupation: farmer, self-employed in Candler County; dependents: wife and two children; previous service: served as a private in coastal artillery 1914-1915; claimed exemption based on dependents; signed Homer Johnson; physical description: tall, slender, brown eyes, black hair, not bald, and no physical disabilities. He served as a Private in 31st Coast Artillery during World War I.

      The family was recorded in the 1920 Candler County census as follows: Homer Johnson, age 28, married, could read and write, born in Georgia, farmer; Annie, wife, age 31, could read and write, born in Georgia; Ouida, daughter, age 5, born in Georgia; Willet, daughter, age 3 years and 4 months, born in Georgia.9 They were living next to Annie parents.

      At the time of the 1930 census, the family included: Homer Johnson, head, owned home, lived on a farm, age 38, married first at age 21, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, farmer, general farm, self-employed, was working at time of census; Annie, wife, homemaker, age 39, married first at age 22, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Ouida, daughter, age 15, attended school, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Willette, daughter, age 13, attended school, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; and Drucilla Jones, mother-in-law, age 67, widow, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia.

      In 1940, they were living on a farm in the Lanier community of Candler County in a house they owned, valued at $500. The 1940 Candler County census recorded them as follows: Homer Johnson, head, age 48, married, completed three years of high school, born in Georgia, lived in the same house on 1 April 1935, was at work the week of 24 March, worked 56 hours the week of 24 March, farm operator, worked 52 weeks in 1939, earned no wages in 1939, had other sources of income in 1939; Annie Johnson, answered census questions, wife, age 51, married, completed three years of high school, born in Georgia, was not at work the week of 24 March, engaged in housework, earned no wages in 1939, had no other source of income in 1939; and, Drucilla Jones, mother-in-law, age 77, widow, completed two grades of school, born in Georgia, unable to work, had no source of income in 1939.

      They had the following children:

      i. Ouida Frances JOHNSON
      ii. Willet JOHNSON

      Homer, who died 7 June 1963 in Metter, was buried at Rosemary Cemetery.

      Annie died 25 March 1965 in Metter and also was buried at Rosemary Cemetery, Candler County.
