    • Allen Mercer LANIER (Alice V.4 Burt, Mary Ann3, Reubin2, Daniel1), a son of Alice V. Burt and James H. Lanier, was born on 5 February 1877 in Emanuel County, Georgia. He was a twin brother to Mary Ann Lanier. He was named as a son, Allen M., age 3, in his parents' household in the 1880 Emanuel County, Georgia census.

Although Della's death certificate gives Statesboro as her place of birth, no Kingery families could be located in the 1880 Bulloch County, Georgia census. No Della Kingery can be located in any 1880 Georgia census. A possibility for her parents are Elizabeth Cannon and Johnson Kingery. They were recorded in the 1880 Wilkinson County, Georgia, census and a three-month old female named Odillia Kingery was included in their household. No relationship was stated, however.

      They had three children:

Lanier; nearest relative, Mrs. Della Lanier, Graymont, Candler Co., GA; signed A. M. In 1920, they lived next door to his mother and sister, Mary Ann Lanier Jones, in Olivetown, Candler County, Georgia. They were recorded in the census as follows: A.
