    • Elizabeth BOATRIGHT (Stephen Thomas3, Reubin2, Daniel1), a daughter of Dora Logue and Stephen Thomas Boatright, was born on 4 May 1902 in Emanuel County, Georgia. She was named as a daughter, aged 7 years, in her parents' household in the 1910 Emanuel County census, and as aged 17 years in the 1920 census. She also was listed as a surviving daughter in her mother's 1936 obituary and in her father's 1950 obituary. In addition, she was named as a surviving sister in the obituaries of: Ethel Boatright Mondy, 1947; Frances Boatright Barfield, 1953; Mathew Lewis Boatright, 1953; Ernest Stephen Boatright, 1958; Caleb Bruce Boatright, 1968; and Sallie Boatright Fortner, 1977.

      She married Remer E. Green in Emanuel County on 23 July 1922. They were married by C. L. Philips. Remer was born on 30 July 1900 in Emanuel County, a son of Amanda and Edward Green.

      They were recorded in the 1930 Emanuel County census as follows: R. E. Green, head, rented home at rental of $4, age 29, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia, truck driver, trucking, wage earner, was working at time of the census, was not a veteran; Elizabeth, wife, housekeeper, age 28, could read and write, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Edna P., daughter, age 6, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Darther M., daughter, age 2 years and 3 months, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; Paul I., son, age 6 months, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia; and, Amanda, mother, age 67, widow, born in Georgia, parents born in Georgia.

      They rented a house, $8 a month, on a farm outside of Swainsboro when the 1940 Emanuel County census was taken. The information provided by the census included: Remer Green, head, age 39, married, completed 8 grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, was at work the week of 24 March, worked 55 hours the week of 24 March, manager farm, wage earner, worked 52 weeks in 1939, earned wages of $360 in 1939, has no other source of income in 1939; Elizabeth Green, answered census questions, wife, age 37, married, completed nine grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, engaged in housework, farm laborer, unpaid family worker, worked 52 weeks in 1939, earned no wages in 1939, had other sources of income in 1939; Edna Pearl Green, daughter, age 15, attended school, completed four grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, farm laborer, unpaid family worker, worked 26 weeks in 1939, earned no wages in 1939, had other sources of income in 1939; Dorothy Green, daughter, age 11, attended school, completed four grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935; Paul Green, son, age 10, attended school, completed three grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935; and, Amanda Green, mother, age 77, widow, completed no grades of school, born in Georgia, lived in rural Emanuel County on 1 April 1935, unable to work.

      Remer died on 25 January 1962 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County.

      Elizabeth died on 17 July 1987, also in Swainsboro. Both were buried in Hawhammock Church Cemetery, Emanuel County where Elizabeth had been a member.
